Most of Peipsiveere Nature Reserve is accessible only by water. Very few people live here and untouched wilderness is one of its main attractions. There are many bog islands where Estonians used to flee to in times of difficulty. What could be more exciting than imagining taking refuge from corona in some of these secluded places!
Canoing on the rivers and lakes is the best way to explore this wetland area and get to places where no-one has set their foot. You may be surprised how noisy the bogs are in spring. Much is going on – birds getting ready to nest, beavers working on their lodges on the banks and wild boars making their way in the thickets. Come along and get in touch with nature!
